An X-ray-template is created if it is required to in advance measure the thickness of the gums around the implant installation area and see the position of the future teeth. This is to ensure that the implants are beast placed in the bones.

When there is a metal in the mouth (crown, pins, metal clamps and braces), a dual scanning with MP X-ray-template on any type of scanner is required for high-quality examination.

When scanning on CBCT scanners, a dual scanning is required for complete analysis and further manufacturing of a surgical guide.

Dual scanning:

First scanning:
The patient is scanned together with the MP X-ray-template installed in the oral cavity.

Second scanning:
Only the MP X-ray-template is scanned. Its position should be maximally close to the location when the first scan was carried out.
